Dress and Leggings

The stretchiness of the fabric meant that pattern matching was difficult; it's not perfect but just about passable.

At present, late summer, I am not happy with the dress. it's too dark in colour and not really me It might be better once winter arrives.
It also shows up all the lumps and bulges underneath!

finished dress

The dress was made from a frankenpattern.
The bodice, with my own fit alterations came from "Gertie's Ultimate Dress Book" and the skirt from Simplicity 2449.

leggings

There was enough fabric remaining to just squeeze out a pair of winter leggings with stirrups for Pilates.
KwikSew 3636 lengthened so that the elastic sits on the waist and not slightly below.
They will normally be worn with a teeshirt outside, but I am pleased with these.
